I've got an iPod mini, and I love it. RJ got it for me on my 14th bday and I've been listening to since the day I got it. But there was the story about the 14 yr old girl who got killed whilst listening to the iPod and walking on railway tracks. Some say that the iPod causes children to become recluses and spend more time listening to music, then talking to friends and going outside to play sport. But are these iPods really as bad as people make it out to be?

No, all the people who say iPods are bad are all them old fart critics. Don't listen to them, they didn't have as much fun as we did, so now they're trying to steal our livelihoods away.

iPods are awesome. I have the special edition U2 iPod. The only thing bad about iPods is that everyone has it. So there's nothing too special to sho off because everywhere you look, someone's got one. I think it doesn't cause social problems, I mean you can always take an ear out and say, "Hey, I like this song, wanna listen?" or "Remember this song at the dance?"
I'm not so sure whether adults want to still our livelihoods away, but it was certainly better than their "iPod". The transistor.

LOL, the "tranny". For those who don't know what it is, it was like the small portable radio, guys would take to the beach and turn up really loud and pretend to be cool to impress the girl. I think it was like the 1950s or 60s.

iPod rules. It's funny seeing all thsoe imitation ones. Like the iCreative or the Jukebox thing. Plus, the ads are way better. It's not a matter of how great the iPod is, but how great it will become.

Are you obsessed with it or what? You don't even talk to me now, you'd rather listen to your stupid iPod- which I incidentally gave you. Damn it! It's all my fault!!!!!!!!

Agreed. Technology is evolving so fast, there's just no point in keeping up.

There's this new phone where it stores up to 2,000 songs and doubles as a mobile phone with all the usuals. All the critics says it's going to eclipse the iPod craze.

Honestly, I have already ditched my iPod Shuffle. I've returned to my beloved MP3 and I've even begun revamping my CD collection.

I don't even have an MP3 or iPod. So my collection of CDs are massive, I've probably got around 200.

I, personally, can't stand iPods. I have an iPod which destroyed my hard drive - I plugged it in, things started screwing up, and my hard drive completely broke down. None of the data can be recovered, now. It was a 40GB one, and now the battery's dead, anyway - the battery cap is only about a year or so. Now, I can't use any MP3 players, or anything...I think it messed up my motherboard. Note than on that hard drive were hundreds of funny pictures I found and made, artwork, all my poetry and writings, the video games I'd made, my video games (and save files), my 3,000+ MP3s, and many other things...

My CD collection has seriously tripled. Now that I actually make money I have around 120 CDs now. I am so happy! And they're all albums and collections and compilations, so I haven't cheated by including the singles!
