Just to tell you guys a little about me, I'm not the casual guy that has the latest fashions of clothes or listen to the latest music. I am sorta shy around everyone except for my family. I am a very nice guy, but I just am very shy around girls, like I have a hard time trying to start a conversation with them. in other words, I can't go up to a girl and say hey, hows it going. I don't know why. I only speak to girls if they speak to me first and when they do my heart starts pounding like crazy and I tend to not look them in the eye and rather look at something else.
I am not completely lonely, I have had a gf back in the 8th grade, but we did nothing and I guess you can say the relationship didn't exist. Ever since then, I can't seem to find the courage to ask a girl out, or even talk to one. I've never kissed a girl, and yea... I'm pathetic, i know.
I am a nice guy, I treat girls with the upmost respect that they deserve. I try to help them when they ask for it, if they drop something, I pick it up. I hold doors for them... ect.
Guys or girls... do you have any advice for me? I need some.
But thanks for listenening

lol, thanks for your compliment.
But I'm tellin the truth, that right there, sums up my "love" life. It's pathetic, but I am who I am...
What do girls tend to look for in a guy??

Well it depends what kind of girl you're talking about? I, for example, love guys who skate or surf and have beautiful eyes. I really like laid back and witty guys who like having a good time and get along well with everyone. But I don't represent every girl in this universe. Some girls are really shallow and only like rich handsome guys who drive Rolls-Royces and can buy them $15000 dress. Some girls are really sweet and shy and is friendly with everyone. There are party animal girls who'll go out every night and hang around clubs. Gosh I could continue on, everyone is different. I've never had a boyfriend mainly because I don't socialise too much and spend most of my time playing music, but I'm sure when you meet that special girl, she won't make you feel the way you're feeling right now.

Well maybe we should use my relationship with Michelle (the admin) as an example. We're both very open people, but we're completely different. Her parents are really strict and I needed their approval to go out with her. But luckily I did a kind of apprenticeship at her dad's firm, so it didn't take that long to get the go ahead- painless, thank god. But when we first met, it was kind of weird. She was dating another guy and I made the horrible mistake of falling for a girl who was already taken. I didn't get along with him, but he left for another school pretty soon aferwards. By that time I knew Michelle pretty well and you could say I was simply waiting for the chance to ask her out. We went to a music festival together and we spent the whole day sitting down, singing and laughing, so I just asked her. And she said yes! So I think you should develop somekind of mutual relationship with a girl before you jump in and ask her out.

I reckon guys want different things out of a relationship than girls. Girls want a romantic and caring guy, which guys just wanna hang loose and just be nice and friendly. So if you're desparate, you'll be less likely to find a girl you'll like because these desparate emotions are taking over and forcing you to have feelings for the hot chicks with skinny legs and brazilian tans, whilst that sweet girl next door could be "the one".

I like guys who know what they want in life (me!). I don't like guys who are self-centred and obsessed with success and leaves their friends on the wayside. Loyal guys!
